Highland Park Independent School District in Amarillo has announced a change to its class schedule this year.
According to the new schedule for HPISD students, students will now return to campus for the first day of school on August 31. The change by HPISD was announced on Thursday and follows the trend of area school districts that are postponing the first day of school this year.
