State Sen. Kel Seliger (R-Amarillo) tweeted on Wednesday night that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Seliger’s social media, the Senator said he tested positive for the virus and has begun experiencing symptoms. The tweet has been shared more than 140 times since being released by the Senator’s campaign on Wednesday.
“I appreciate the well wishes while I diligently comply with isolation and contact tracing guidelines as put out by the Governor and CDC,” Seliger said.
Seliger, a Republican, represents Texas’ 31st Senate District in the Texas Senate, which includes Amarillo, Midland, Odessa, and most of the Texas Panhandle.
