Amarillo Independent School District Trustees Doyle Corder and David Nance have filed to seek full terms on the board in the May 2021 election.
According to Amarillo ISD, as of Friday, Corder and Nance were the only candidates to have filed for spots on the ballot for the upcoming election. Both incumbents have never faced voters, but were both appointed to fulfill the remaining years on unexpired terms.
Corder is a minister at Southwest Church of Christ and Nance is the owner and president of Denman Building Products.
Candidates can file for spots on the ballot until Friday, February 12. Election Day is May 1.
