Amarillo City Council, Place 4 candidate Ali Ramos has picked up an endorsement from the National Association of Social Workers/Texas Chapter.
In a letter issued last month, the group, which represents 5,000 members across the state, announced its support Ramos. Ramos, a social worker and social work instructor, is facing incumbent Councilman Howard Smith and fellow challengers Sharyn Delgado and Richard Herman in the May 1 general election in Amarillo.
