The following list of Amarillo area lane closures is for the week of March 7, 2021, and was provided by the Texas Department of Transportation
On SL 335 (Lakeside Drive) various lanes will be closed from I-40 to US 60 from 8 a.m. Monday, March 8 to 5 p.m. Friday, March 12 for pavement repairs.
Beginning Monday, March 8, at 8 a.m., the left lane of the I-40 westbound frontage road will be closed from 1,000 feet east to 300 feet west of Whitaker Road for construction of the proposed turnaround lanes under the I-40 bridge. This work is expected to last about three weeks.
On I-40 eastbound, the left lane will be closed daily from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. from the east side of Pullman Road to the US 287 overpass for constructing the concrete barrier rail on I-40 westbound.
Beginning Monday, March 8 and continuing for at least one month, the following closures related to concrete barrier placement and guardrail replacement will be in place:
The right lane of Taylor Street will be closed from 11th Avenue to the I-40 exit ramps.
The eastbound I-40 ramp from Taylor Street will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to I-40 westbound and turnaround at the Washington Street exit to gain access to I-40 eastbound.
Western Street will be closed under I-40 in both directions from for bridge work:
4 p.m. Saturday, March 13 to 9 a.m. Sunday, March 14
4 p.m. Sunday, March 14 to 6 a.m. Sunday, March 15
The right lane of US 287 southbound (Taylor Street) is closed at 11th Avenue for guardrail and concrete barrier placement.
The left lane of US 87 southbound (Pierce Street) is closed at 11th Avenue for guardrail and concrete barrier placement.
