Amarillo Police have launched the annual Click It or Ticket campaign for 2021.
According to APD, from May 24th through Sunday, June 6th, APD will be participating in the national Click It or Ticket campaign. APD’s involvement has been made possible through a grant from the Texas Department of Transportation that is aimed at funding extra officers to patrol and concentrate on seatbelt and child restraint violations.
According to APD, Texas law requires every person in a vehicle to be secured by a safety belt. Seat belts must be worn as they are designed to be worn, not under an arm.
