What could City Hall look like in the future? Amarillo citizens might find out at a meeting later this month.

According to the City of Amarillo, on June 28, a public discussion related to the future of City Hall is scheduled to be hosted at the Amarillo Civic Center Complex. During this time, members of the City Council will lead a meeting detailing options for the City’s flagship facility.

The meeting’s announcement comes after City Councilmembers voted 4-1 earlier this month to begin the process of issuing certificates of obligation that could be used to pay for refurbishments of the old Amarillo Hardware Building, which has been designated as the likely home of a new city hall facility.

This meeting will begin at 6pm and will last for an hour.
