Amarillo Police are investigating a recent shooting incident in the 3300 block of Eddy Street.

According to APD, on Wednesday, September 8, at 9:26pm, officers were dispatched to the apartments at 3308 Eddy on the report of several shots heard in the area. When officers arrived, they were met by witnesses who stated they had seen two males shooting at each other in the parking lot. Witnesses saw the men running away in separate directions from the area.

No injuries were reported from any of the witnesses, but officers did discover that two vehicles incurred damage that appeared to be related to this incident. Officers were made aware of bullets that had gone into one of the apartments on Eddy and they collected evidence at the scene.

APD believes there to be no indications of this shooting being related to other shootings from earlier in the week.

This incident is still under investigation.
