Amarillo Police say a 24-year-old man has been hospitalized following a shooting in Southwest Amarillo.

On September 13, at 4:46pm, officers were dispatched to the 7700 block of Canode Street on the report of a person being shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 24-year-old man had been shot and was suffering from life threatening injuries.

The victim was taken to a local area hospital. APD says the victim alleges he was in his house when three subjects entered his residence and demanded money and his phone before shooting him.
