Potter County Commissioners will discuss renewing the County’s tax abatement guidelines next week.

According to an agenda posted for Monday’s meeting, Commissioners will discuss renewing the guidelines that govern providing tax abatements in Potter County. The current guidelines are outlined in an eight-page document that spells out requirements, such as ensuring that applicants are not indebted to the County and have access to sufficient resources to complete the project with or without the abatement. The current document was first adopted in October 2019.

Aside from renewing the abatement guidelines, Commissioners will also discuss moving the date of their late December meeting, which is currently scheduled for Christmas Day. Commissioners will be looking to reschedule the meeting for December 22.

Commissioners will meet on Monday, November 27 at the Potter County Courthouse. The meeting will begin at 9 am.
