Turnout in the May 6th election is up among in-person voters, while turnout is down among mail-in voters.

Across both Monday and Tuesday, Potter County had seen 972 in-person ballots cast, while Randall reported 2,317. During the first two days of early voting in the 2021 May election, Potter had reported 901 in-person votes, while Randall had 1,469.

In Potter County, the Santa Fe building was the most popular voting location on Tuesday, with 155 votes cast there, barely edging out the Northwest Branch Library, which reported 154 votes. Casey Carpet One, which had the highest turnout on Monday came in third on Tuesday with 141 votes cast.

In Randall County, the Randall County Annex maintained its strong lead over other polling places on Tuesday, with 777 votes cast. The second-highest turnout was the Randall County Justice Center in Canyon, which saw 161 voters on Tuesday.

However, far fewer people have utilized mail-in ballots in this election. In 2021, after two days of early voting, 1,535 ballots had been received. This year, only 532 ballots had been received.

In total, including both mail-in and in-person voters, 3,736 ballots had been cast after two days of early voting, while 3,905 had been cast after the first two days of voting in 2021.

Early voting continues through Friday, with additional opportunities on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Election Day is Saturday, May 6th.
