Polling places in Amarillo recorded more than election day 2,000 votes in the Amarillo City Council runoff.
A total of 1,912 had cast their ballots by 1:30 pm. In Potter County, 653 votes were cast. In Randall County, 1,259 were cast.
In the first round, Potter had a total of 2,358 election day votes, while Randall had 4,483.
With new numbers posted at 3:30 pm, that total surpassed 2,000.
