U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Amarillo) is gearing up for re-election and is raising big bucks to back his campaign.
According to Jackson’s campaign finance report filed with the Federal Election Commission this week, his campaign brought in $881,770.38 for his campaign during the reporting cycle running from April 1 to June 30. This brings Jackson’s total campaign haul for the year up to over $1.5 million.
The Jackson campaign also reported refunding $55,664.16 in campaign contributions during the period, in addition to $549,772.75 in operating expenditures. This activity has left the Jackson campaign with a cash-on-hand balance of over $1.23 million.
Jackson’s big campaign haul comes as the Republican lawmaker is preparing to seek his third term in office. In 2022, voters re-elected Jackson to his second term in the U.S. House of Representatives over Wichita Falls attorney Kathleen Brown, with Jackson winning 75 percent of the vote.
As of this writing, Jackson has not yet drawn an announced challenger for the 2024 election cycle.
