Dan Rogers, who has served as chair of the Potter County Republican Party since 2018, announced in a press release dated August 13th that he will not seek reelection.
In the release, Rogers pointed to achievements including “voter engagement and increased participation,” “election of true conservatives to office,” and “transformation of the political landscape.” Rogers is perhaps best known for his advocacy for utilizing paper ballots.
While the statement notes that “Rogers will remain committed to supporting voters and will continue his efforts to advance conservative principles,” no firm plans were mentioned. However, Rogers has been speculated to be a potential candidate in the open race to replace retiring State Representative Four Price, who represents District 87.
Rogers’ term is set to expire next March, when the Republican Party is scheduled to hold primary elections.
