Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller has officially thrown his weight behind Caroline Fairly in the race for Texas House District 87.

Miller, who has already endorsed several candidates in House races across the state, endorsed Fairly in a post to his Facebook account. The state leader noted that the House District 87 race is for an open seat and stated that Fairly is the kind of change the district needs.

“It's been 14 years since HD 87 has seen new blood,” Miller wrote. “The time is now and the Amarillo couldn't do better than Caroline Fairly. A native Texan with deep conservative roots, Caroline has the values, faith and energy that the Texas House needs.”

Fairly, a medical negotiator, is running against realtor Cindi Bulla, natural gas executive Richard Beyea, and attorney Jesse Quackenbush for the Republican nomination for the seat. The winner of the March 5th Republican primary will face Democrat Timothy Gassaway in the November election.
