Amarillo City Council is set to consider a resolution to remove Andrew Hall from the Amarillo Economic Development Corporation’s Board of Directors.

Hall currently serves as the chair of the AEDC Board of Directors and has been at the center of controversy regarding the organization in connection to the RANGE Foundation controversy.

According to a draft resolution, “Amarillo City Council desires to remove director Andrew Hall from the board of directors of the Corporation to better effectuate Council objectives and policies related to the operation of the Corporation.”

Hall began serving on the AEDC Board of Directors in 2020, with his current term set to expire at the end of 2025. However, as noted by the draft resolution, the board serves at the pleasure of Amarillo City Council. The council is also set to make appointments to at least two other seats on the board of directors. The seats currently held by Scott Bentley and Adrian Meaner are up for appointments. While Meander is eligible to serve another term, Bentley is not.

The council is also set to hear another update on the audit of the AEDC and vote on approving an updated version of the organization’s articles of incorporation.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 12th. It will be held on the third floor of Amarillo City Hall.
