Clay Stribling, the former president and CEO of the Amarillo Area Foundation, has passed away, the organization announced Wednesday.
Stribling, 56, was a philanthropic leader in Amarillo and previously worked as a health attorney. A graduate of West Texas State University and Southern Methodist University, Stribling was known for the organization’s work related to education, healthcare, and economic opportunity.
“A devoted husband and father and a mentor and friend to many, Clay's legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. We honor his memory with deep gratitude and a commitment to carry his mission forward,” the Amarillo Area Foundation wrote in a social media post.
At the time of his passing, Stribling was serving as the organization’s executive advisor.
