Randall County Commission Candidates Spending Big

As election day nears, the candidates for Randall County Commission Precinct 1 have ramped up their fundraising and spending efforts.

Rick Cooper has raised and spent the most amount of money in the race. Through February 24th, Cooper reported having raised $28,800. Cooper’s biggest contributor is the Alex Fairly owned DealOn LLC, which has given $20,000 to Cooper. In addition to the money he has raised, Cooper has loaned his campaign a further $8,750.

Cooper has also been spending big, having reported $30,530.53 in expenses. Most of this money has been spent with Sir Speedy, where Cooper has spent $24,009.30 for postcards, postage, yard signs, banners, door hangers, and business cards.

While Brian Bailey hasn’t raised or spent as much, he has still posted impressive figures. Through February 24th, Bailey has raised $12,300. Bailey’s biggest contributors are Rick Looby and Brandon Ward, who each gave $2,500. In addition to the money he has raised, Bailey has loaned his campaign a further $1,000.

Bailey has spent $17,341.23. Much of this has gone to Promotions Plus, where Bailey has spent $7,578.09 purchasing signs and cards.

Vance Snider, who has withdrawn from the race but will still appear on the ballot, only reported having spent $750 from personal funds on the filing fee.

Early voting ends March 1st. Primary Election Day is March 5th.
