108th District Court candidate Joe Marr Wilson has pulled ahead of his rivals in terms of fundraising with less than a month to go before the Republican primary election.
According to finance reports filed this week, Wilson reported raising $10,325 during the first few weeks of 2024. Wilson was followed in fundraising by Tim Pirtle, who raised $1,900, and former Judge Pamela Sirmon, who raised $1,550. No 30-day finance report was available for Sam Brown Silverman, as of press time.
Wilson’s lead in fundraising came on the back of $1,000 contributions from four supporters. Meanwhile, Sirmon reported her top contributions as $500 each from Glennda Cook and George and Pati Buchenau. Pirtle also received a $1,000 contribution from Corky Roberts.
According to Transparency USA, the overall financial state of the race for the 108th District Court bench looks as follows:
Joe Marr Wilson — $11,825 in contributions; $0 in loans; $10,828 in expenditures; $7,118 on-hand
Sam Brown Silverman* — $3,895 in contributions; $15,000 in loans; $19,164 in expenditures; $3,266 on-hand
Tim Pirtle — $2,400 in contributions; $6,000 in loans; $15,707 in expenditures; $2,883 on-hand
Pamela Sirmon — $1,685 in contributions; $10,000 in loans; $7,802 in expenditures; $5,248 on-hand

Voters will decide this primary election on March 5. Early voting begins Tuesday, February 20.
