Incoming Amarillo City Manager Grayson Path might be starting his job earlier than expected.

As we previously reported, Path recently told his current employer, the City of Paris, Texas, that he would be leaving his current job early, with his new last day on the job being moved from August 2nd to July 12th.

The same day we reported on that story, Path signed an amendment to his employment agreement with the City of Amarillo. The amended agreement, if approved by Amarillo City Council, would move the start date for his new job from August 12th to July 29th.

The amended agreement is set to be considered by Amarillo City Council during their upcoming July 9th regular meeting. The full agenda and agenda packet can be downloaded at this link.
