Grayson Path, who is set to officially take office as Amarillo’s next City Manager in August, will be leaving his current job earlier than expected.

According to local media in Paris, Texas, Path, where Path currently serves as City Manager, Path has notified Paris City Council that July 12th will be his last day. Path had previously told the council that he would be leaving on August 2nd.

According to MyParisTexas.com, Path told the Paris City Council that “an incredible amount of work both professionally in the office and personally at home has taken place, giving me the confidence that my early departure is the correct decision for my family, as well as the Cities of Paris and Amarillo.”
