This year, The Amarillo Pioneer’s Editorial Board will offer recommendations for a number of local races. Decisions to offer recommendations of one candidate over another have been made following a long research and vetting process.

Here’s what you need to know about how our recommendation process will work this year.

Who is eligible to be recommended/endorsed?

Only candidates who submitted a completed questionnaire for the Pioneer’s 2025 Voter Guide will be eligible for an endorsement.

Who is making the recommendations?

This year, our Editorial Board recommendations are being decided by a panel consisting of both Amarillo Pioneer contributors and Amarillo community members. No current elected officials or candidates for elected office are participating as members of the Editorial Board.

When will recommendations be offered?

Recommendations will be offered throughout the weeks leading up to Election Day, in the order they are decided.
