Q: Why did you decide to run for this office in 2022?

A: I decided to run for this office because I know that nobody will be a stauncher advocate or better representative of Texas’ Thirteenth Congressional District in Washington, DC. Representing the constituents of this district and fighting for the representation of their values over this past year has been a humbling opportunity and the honor of a lifetime. I intend to continue my hard work to ensure key wins for the district over the next Congress.

Q: If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?

A: If re-elected, my top three priorities will be to:

Build off the Trump Administration's incredible success in bolstering our national defense and homeland security by ensuring our military and our leaders have all of the necessary resources to defend our country against any potential threats or influence posed by our adversaries,

Support Texas agriculture and the hardworking farmers and ranchers in Texas’ Thirteenth Congressional District (the number one agriculture district in Texas), and

Defend Texas values and our country against the radical left’s assault on our nation through their woke social agenda.

Q: What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?

A: One issue that has been overlooked throughout my race, and throughout this session of Congress, is immigration and border security. Our broken immigration system can only be fixed if we solve the crisis at the southern border first. If re-elected, I will work with my colleagues in Congress to take a three-pronged approach to increase physical boundaries, manpower, and technology at the southern border. Specifically, we will work to finish building the wall so that our physical boundaries do not welcome illegal immigration. Then, we will address the staff shortages at CBP and ICE by increasing funding for those agencies. Lastly, we will increase technology use to better monitor migration paths of illegal immigrants to help us deter this activity.

Q: Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?

A: I am the best candidate for this position due to my qualifications through my service to this country and my accomplishments throughout my first year in Congress.

Since taking office, I have been an extremely effective legislator. I have successfully authorized funding for servicemembers at Sheppard AFB, garnered support for Pantex in Amarillo, passed legislation to support disaster recovery for Texas farmers and to prevent the IRS from targeting conservatives. I have also aggressively defended the Second Amendment and been a strong voice for the unborn, which are important values here in our district.

These accomplishments, coupled with my proven leadership ability from my tenure as an Admiral in the U.S. Navy, make me the best candidate for this role.
