A: None
Q: If your campaign has any online campaign resources where voters can learn more about you, such as social media accounts or a website, please list them below.
Q: Why did you decide to run for this office in 2022?
A: After speaking with people across the state, I’ve heard their concerns with how the Department of Agriculture is being run. I think it’s time for new leadership that will bring the focus back to the core mission.
This means developing rural internet connectivity and other physical infrastructure so that our young Texans are afforded the best educational opportunities. It means supporting healthy school lunch programs sourced from the best Texas agriculture has to provide. The future of Texas agriculture depends on the next generation being well-fed and well-educated.
Q: If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?
A: 1) I will promote the great products made in Texas by Texans.
2) I will support young Texans with healthy food at school and access to the internet, no matter where in this Great State they live.
3) I will ensure Texas farmers and ranchers have economically viable means of growing crops and raising livestock for years to come.
Q: What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?
A: The next generation of farmers and ranchers are my primary focus. Every voter knows that we must ensure that our young Texans are well-fed and have equitable access to internet no matter where they live — because both are critical to a strong education.
Q: Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?
A: Democrats need a candidate in November who can present a message that is inclusive of all Texans, since the Department of Agriculture serves all Texans. Candidates on both sides are making this race out to be a referendum on hyperpartisan issues — instead, I’m remaining focused on serving Texas.
