Q: Why did you decide to run for this office in 2021?
A: I decided to run for this position because I believe this will be an uplifting and educational experience for me. Having experienced the student life at Amarillo College at one point was an experience I will never forget. The course of study , the faculty , administrators, professors, and the student body exemplified what a great Junior College we have in our community. If one attends AC and succeeds, he/she can attend anywhere and succeed in life and even become a member of the Board of Regents where he once attended as a student. To lean about the institution on an internal and strategic level is a bonus!

Q: In what cases would you support efforts to raise property taxes? Please explain.
A: In the cases where I would support an increase in property taxes, would be based off instances where improvement and funding is needed in our public schools as well as colleges/universities. Where funding is needed to support and hire more frontline workers such as Policemen/Firefighters. I would support an increase in property taxes if there would be opportunity for economic growth in our city and to enhance the beautification of our public works such as public parks and recreation.
Q: What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?
A: I believe the issue of the low percentage of minority males continued their education. If elected, I would like to find out ways through research, peer groups, postsecondary education forum on ways to close the gap.
Q: Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?
A: I wont say I'm the best candidate for voters to support for this position. I will say I'm a good candidate and I feel I'm a good candidate because having gotten my postsecondary educational experience start at AC is where it all began for me. To work with a group if individuals whom has kept the tradition of enriching the lives of the students and the community is an opportunity I would take with great Pride.
