Q: Why did you decide to run for this office in 2021?
A: I want to bring a back fiscal conservative voice to the CISD Board of Trustees as it is the highest tax rated district in the Amarillo/Canyon surrounding area.
Q: If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?
A: Hold the local government and CISD Board of Trustees accountable on excessive spending.
Stand up against Comprehensive Sexual Education in public schools, this type of education is the responsibility of the parents and not government funded education.
Bring Conservative values back to local government.
Q: In what cases would you support efforts to raise property taxes? Please explain.
A: I would look at all aspects of the budget and see where items can be cut in order to save money and prevent the taxpayers further grievance. Currently Canyon ISD has the highest tax rate in the Amarillo and Canyon area at $1.28 per $100. I would work to prevent and vote against all future tax increases.
Q: What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?
A: Canyon ISD has the highest tax rate in the Amarillo/Canyon area and I see this becoming a problem for current and future residents. I believe all local government should be fiscally conservative and find areas of the budget that can be adjusted to prevent a grievance on the taxpayers.
Q: Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?
A: I have been fighting for conservative values since the beginning of my political career. I don't talk the talk, I walk the walk. Shortly after the working as the Regional Field Director for Trump Victory - Texas, I left my wife and kids for two months to serve the people of Georgia in the U.S. Senate run-off elections to maintain Republican control of the U.S. Senate.
