Q: Why did you decide to run for this office in 2021?

A: I have always had a passion to bring long-lasting positive change to those around me and my community. I am running because I believe we need to uplift and represent the new young wave of conservatives while equally advancing the mission of the existing party. Together, we can lead our community to a better and brighter future. I am very determined, ambitious, and resourceful. If I see a definitive goal layed out, I will do everything I can to ensure that goal is met and make the impossible a reality. My passion to help others fuels my drive to help bring change. I am a creative organizer and planner, and have a resilient work ethic. Therefore, I commit to fight for the people I represent every single day. I believe that God has imbued me with a passion to help others and make a positive impact on those around me and so I am determined to serve the people of Canyon.

Q: If elected, what will be your top three priorities in office?

A: Empowering Small Businesses - As a conservative, we should support our local businesses to their fullest potiential. That means supporting our already existing businesses and doing our best to bring new businesses to increase job opportunities and taxed based revenue.

Improving Infrastructure - Properly planned and built infrastructures like roads, sidewalks, parks, recreational spaces, and utilities are essential for growth.

Improving Public Eduacation System- Bringing additional resources to the public eduacation system is crucial. This will allow teachers & students alike to compete and excel as a whole, contributing to the continued success of the community.

Q: In what cases would you support efforts to raise property taxes? Please explain.

A: I am a guardian for the taxpayer and believe people's hard earned money should stay in their pockets. So I would do my best to keep property taxes low, however, if that money was allocated appropriately to successful local projects that would benefit the community then I believe the community would support those efforts.

Q: What is an issue you believe has gone overlooked in your race and how will you address it if elected?

A: I believe that Canyon needs to push for efforts in retaining college students/graduates from West Texas A&M University like myself to stay, grow, and develop this great community. Currently, the community's revenue is disproportionately made up of financial revenues of West Texas A&M University. With any sustainable revenue, diversification is essential to long term success.

Q: Why are you the best candidate for voters to support for this position?

A: I believe it is important that we have a equally represented city commission reflected upon our communities makeup. The young adults are a significant portion of our population in our community and it is paramount to continue our ideals, values, beliefs forward in the future to help our community grow as a whole. A representative like myself can bridge the gap to advance the conservative voice and goal.
