Lubbock Announces Finalists for Police Chief

The City of Lubbock has announced the four individuals who are the finalists to be the city’s next police chief.

According to the City of Lubbock, Glen Fowler, Seth Herman, Kenneth Myers, and Michael Smathers are the finalists to be the next Lubbock police chief. The finalists were selected following a nationwide search for the LPD’s new chief.

Fowler is the Chief of Police & Assistant Vice President of the Methodist Health System in Dallas. Herman is the current chief of police for Midland. Myers is the deputy chief of the Allen Police Department. Smathers is the deputy chief of the Albuquerque Police Department.

Lubbock residents are invited to meet the four finalists during a reception at the Lubbock Civic Center on Thursday, April 25th at 5pm.
