The Amarillo Zoo and the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum have both been named part of the top "17 Trips in 2017" by Texas Highways.
The two attractions were paired together in the ranking, and came in at number 11.
Texas Highways complimented Amarillo's own Amarillo Zoo and said that the monkeys are not an attraction to be missed.
"The monkeys have more to play with in 2017 at the Amarillo Zoo, and that means you have more to watch." Texas Highways writes, "A new climbing structure in the black-handed spider monkey exhibit consists of pipes formed into faux branches with platforms for the monkeys, as well as ropes to swing on and more shade."
