As the Dallas Morning News reports, Texas queso cannot match Arkansas' cheese dip, according to the U.S. Senate.
Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn, Texas' representation in the United States Senate, challenged Arkansas Senators Tom Cotton and John Boozman to a competition to see which cheese food is the best. Heights Taco and Tamale Company of Little Rock was chosen by Boozman and Cotton to represent Arkansas. Cruz and Cornyn chose Uncle Julio's Queso.
Although the vote was not disclosed, Senators confirmed that Boozman and Cotton's cheese dip had won the competition. Cornyn responded to the defeat on Twitter, saying, "Queso's still king."
