Amarillo College Board of Regents president Michele Fortunato will be seeking re-election in May.
Fortunato recently launched a Facebook page aimed at helping her re-election bid.
"I'm running on my record of two terms on the board of regents and 25 years of service to our community." Fortunato wrote in a post on Facebook, "Amarillo College is doing amazing things and I want to continue to play a role at AC."
Fortunato is the first Amarillo College incumbent to announce candidacy for re-election, thus far. The terms of regents Jay L. Barrett and Neal D. Nossaman are also expiring in May.
