Jeremy Bryant has made his candidacy for Mayor of Amarillo official today.
Bryant filed the necessary paperwork to receive a spot on the ballot during the May 6th election. Bryant announced his candidacy in December, promising to "cut the red tape," if elected.
Bryant joins attorney Ginger Nelson in being an officially filed candidate for mayor. Renea Dauntes has also announced her candidacy for mayor, but has not yet filed her application.
Howard Smith, a local realtor, has also officially filed to run for city council place 4.
