Classic horror villain Freddy Krueger will be returning to the big screen this weekend with the return of "A Nightmare on Elm Street."
On Sunday, "A Nightmare on Elm Street" will return to the Cinemark Hollywood 16 movie theater at 9100 Canyon Drive as part of Cinemark's Classic Series. The film, first released in 1984, stars a wide array of 1980's film talent and features a notable performance by Johnny Depp in his first movie role.
The film follows "Several people who are hunted by a cruel serial killer who kills his victims in their dreams," according to Internet Movie Database.
Since its release, "A Nightmare on Elm Street" has been praised as a classic horror film and is considered to be one of the biggest horror franchises of the 1980's, along with John Carpenter's "Halloween" and Victor Miller's "Friday The 13th."
Showings of "A Nightmare on Elm Street" will take place on Sunday, October 22nd and Wednesday, October 25th.
