Sheriff Reminds Residents Not to Leave Vehicle Unattended

The Potter County Sheriff's Office is reminding residents not to leave vehicles unattended during winter months in Amarillo.

According to the Sheriff's Office, residents are being reminded not to leave vehicles unattended to warm up during winter months. Criminals are being reported to seek vehicles that are left running and unattended to commit thefts.

Residents are instead encouraged to wear coats inside of vehicles or next to vehicles while the vehicle warms up.
