Several athletes from West Texas A&M University were honored at the 2017 All-Conference Lone Star Conference Cross Country awards.
According to WTAMU, five cross country athletes were named to the Men's All-Conference Performers List. Those athletes are: Owen Hind (#1), Ryan Thomson (#3), Briggs Wittlake (#5), Benedict Westhenry (#6), and Geoffrey Kipchumba (#8).
Special recognition was also given to the Men's Team Champion: West Texas A&M,
Men's Newcomer of the Year: Ryan Thomson, Men's Freshman of the Year: Briggs Wittlake, and Men's Coach of the Year: Jake Krolick.
On the Women's All-Conference side, four WTAMU athletes were named to the Women's All-Conference Performers list. Those athletes are: Erman Jepleting (#3), Nikolina Hrelec (#8), Kelly McCaskill (#10) and Aubri Wrye (#12).
