A high school in the Lubbock area has been placed upon lockdown on Friday.
According to information from Frenship ISD, students at Frenship High School and the Frenship 9th Grade Center were placed on lockdown following the reported sighting of a gun on campus. The report of the gun was not confirmed at the time of the lockdown.
Students were later moved to a safe zone on campus, according to Frenship ISD. The Lubbock County Sheriff's Office approved the move, while the school is still on lockdown as of 3pm on Friday.
KXAN reports that SWAT officers were dispatched to Frenship High School during the afternoon and that there have been no reports of "shots fired."
