Downtown Amarillo Bank Closing

A downtown bank branch will soon be closing its doors.

According to a letter sent to Chase Bank customers this week, the Chase Bank location at 600 South Tyler will be closing its doors in 2018. The branch, located within the namesake Chase Building in downtown Amarillo, will be closing on March 8th.

Melissa Offill, marketing director for Chase Bank, sent out a letter to the customers of the location, writing that all accounts will remain unaffected, as the company looks to consolidate its Amarillo locations.

"Rest assured that everything will remain the same with your accounts," Offill told customers in the letter. "So please continue to use your existing debit cards, checks and credit cards."

Amarillo's Chase Bank location will be consolidated to 5805 Interstate 40 West.

Any Chase Bank customers with comments on the closure can mail those comments to the Large Banks Licensing Operations Office of the Comptroller of the Currency at 400 7th Street Southwest, Washington, D.C., 20219.

The downtown branch location will be closed on March 8th at noon.
