Snow Chances Dwindling Ahead of Christmas 2017

Amarillo's chances of seeing snow for Christmas this year are quickly dwindling away.

According to a weather forecast by The Weather Channel, the smart money says that Amarillo will not have any snow for Christmas. Under the current terms of the forecast, Christmas Eve provides the best chance for snow with 20 percent chance of precipitation. Other than the Sunday forecast, every other day between Wednesday and Christmas is providing a 0 percent chance of precipitation.

Similar forecasts are also being projected by Accuweather, Weather Underground and Weatherbug. The chances of precipitation are varying, but each forecast provider is agreeing that the chances are continually becoming slimmer for a snowy Christmas in Amarillo.
