Congressman Mac Thornberry (R-Clarendon) voted in favor of the Republican tax plan during a session of the U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday.
Thornberry joined a Republican majority in passing the bill, as House members voted 227-203 to see the bill's passage. In the final tally, Democrats voted on a party line against the bill and twelve Republicans voted against the bill.
No comment was made by Thornberry's office following the House's vote for the bill.
The bill will now move to the U.S. Senate for consideration.
