Grass Grazing School to Begin January

On January 15th, an agricultural school will kick off in Canadian.

The Grass Grazing and Animal Management School coordinated by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office in Hemphill County will begin. The school will meet from 1pm through 5pm on the third Monday of each month through October, according to AgriLife Today.

Multiple topics will be covered by instructors during the class's run. Among the topics being discussed during the class's run will be: economics of grazing, basic understandings of the ecological process, plant reactions to defoliation, animal reproduction, and livestock interaction with plants.

Registration will run $350 per producer. Those planning to attend should call for preregistration. The AgriLife Extension office can be reached at 806-323-9114.
