Severe Weather Hits Texas Panhandle

Severe weather has hit the Texas Panhandle this week.

According to the National Weather Service, several tornadoes touched down on Tuesday night. There were also some scattered thunderstorms near the Panhandle on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the Panhandle's most severe tornado of 2017 touched down in Wheeler County. According to the NWS, there were reports of damage coming out Wheeler County following the tornado's touchdown.

Tornadoes also hit the Texas Panhandle in Collingsworth County, Donley County, and Hansford County.

According to a weather report, thunderstorms are not expected to appear in Amarillo until Monday. The forecast is slated to be cloudy on Friday and into the weekend.
