City Council Set to Discuss MPEV Negotiation in Executive Session

The Amarillo City Council is set to discuss negotiations and lease information for the multi-purpose event center during its executive session meeting on Tuesday.

According to the agenda set for Tuesday's City Council executive session meeting, the board will discuss information related to the MPEV. The discussion will focus on an MPEV lease agreement and related matters, according to the agenda. The discussion looks to primarily be a consultation with counsel over the matters.

This will be the first time that the new City Council will officially discuss the MPEV, according to City records.

The City Council is also set to hold its regular meeting on Tuesday. During the meeting, the City Council will take action on a number of items including: a consent agenda, a rezoning, street closures for July 1st and a street renaming application.

The City Council is set to meet on Tuesday, June 6th in the City Council Chambers of Amarillo City Hall (509 SE 7th Ave).

The meeting's work session will begin at 3:30pm, while the regular meeting will commence at 5pm.
