National Day of the Cowboy to be Held This Saturday

Cowboy up, Amarillo! National Day of the Cowboy will be celebrated this weekend.

According to the Amarillo Convention and Visitor's Council, the National Day of the Cowboy is set to take place this Saturday, July 22nd. The American Quarter Horse Association Museum and Hall of Fame is set to honor National Day of the Cowboy with several activities including quarter horse riding, barrel racing, making your own pony stick, and other activities for children. 

Amarillo's Oliver Saddle Shop will also be hosting a rodeo and bronc riding competition at the Range Riders Outdoor Arena at 3pm. That event is meant to commemorate Oliver's 100th anniversary.
