Canyon has been named one of the top places to "live off the grid," according to Wide Open Country.
In a new list released this week, the website ranked the top four places to "live off the grid," meaning to live independent of public utilities. Canyon was named number three on the list, with the website cites Palo Duro Canyon as one of Canyon's top reasons for making the list.
Canyon trails Terlingua and the Chihuahuan Desert as the top places to live off the grid in Texas.
