Price Outraises Brassfield in Race for State Representative

Representative Four Price (R-Amarillo) outraised Fritch city manager Drew Brassfield in the first reporting period for the 2018 election cycle.

Price, the incumbent, raised $330,171.78 during the most recent reporting period, while spending $222,273.33. Price ended the period with about $651,000 on hand.

The top donation to Price's campaign was $25,000 from the Texas Association of Realtors. Other notable donations to Price's campaign included $500 from Amarillo Mayor Ginger Nelson, $1,000 from the New York-based Pepsico Concerned Citizens PAC and multiple donations from Amarillo attorneys, appointed officials and PACs.

Meanwhile, Drew Brassfield raised $34,479.00 for his campaign. Brassfield's top donations came from Empower Texans and Texas Right to Life at $10,000 and Midland resident Kyle Stallings at $2,500.

Brassfield and Price will square off in the March 6th Republican primary for the District 87 seat. No Democrats have filed to run, meaning that the winner of the nomination will likely take the seat in November.
