Republican Potter County JP Contenders Report Low Spending

The two Republicans running for the party's nomination for Justice of the Peace in Potter County's Precinct 2 are reporting low spending in that race.

Incumbent Richard Henry Herman, Jr. reported raising $600 during the most recent filing period and spending $1,524. Herman pulled in a $300 donation from D. Chris Hesse and reported three $100 donations from Thomas Schimpf, Bill Riggins and Brenda Abbott, respectively.

Meanwhile, Herman's challenger, Robert Taylor reported one expense from his personal funds. The Amarillo College police officer reported his only expense coming from the Potter County Republican Party for his filing fee of $375.

Both candidates will meet in the March 6th primary. The winner of the Republican Party's nomination will face Democrat Claudia Griego in November.
