Fraternal Order of the Police Endorses Overstreet, Taylor

The Fraternal Order of the Police has endorsed two candidates for office in Potter County.

Officials from the Fraternal Order of the Police announced two endorsements in Potter County races today. Charlie Johnson, Potter County Deputy Sheriff's Association FOP secretary, announced today that members have voted to endorse Wade Overstreet for Potter County Court-at-Law #2 and Robert Taylor for Justice of the Peace. Johnson says members voted unanimously for Overstreet due to his "temperament, integrity and compassion." The group also selected Taylor "integrity, honesty and dedication."

Overstreet is running for Potter County Court-at-Law #2 against Matt Hand and Jerry Morales in the Republican primary. Taylor is running against incumbent Richard Herman in Potter County's Precinct 2, also in the Republican primary. The winner of the Taylor-Herman contest will face Democrat Claudia Griego in November.

The Republican primary race will be held on March 6th.
