Nelson Spends Nearly $20k in Second Half of 2017

Mayor Ginger Nelson continued her trend of campaign spending in the second half of the year, spending nearly $20,000 on various services.

In the second half of the year, Mayor Nelson spent nearly $20,000 with the bulk of the funding going to Nobox Creative, Norfleet Strategies, LLC and Sylvia Nugent for consulting services. Nelson also reported expenses to Carson Paetzold, Ed Shack, Ralph Duke Photography and the United States Postal Services.

In total, $19,311.25 in the second half of the year, while also reporting about $10,000 in outstanding loans. Nelson reported having $7,841.22 remaining in her campaign fund at the end of the year after a $500 donation in September from Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott LLP.

Other Councilmembers reported little spending and raising in the second part of the year. Councilmember Elaine Hays reported spending $4,793.82; Freda Powell reported no expenses; Eddy Sauer reported $1,047.69 in expenses and Howard Smith reported $295 in expenses.
