Senator Ted Cruz is ahead of Beto O’Rourke with just over a week before election day, according to a brand new poll.
On Monday, Quinnipiac University released a brand new poll showing Cruz, a Republican, as the favorite in the race for the U.S. Senate. Cruz led O’Rourke, a Democrat, by five points, 51 percent to 46 percent. The poll did not measure support for Libertarian Neal Dikeman.
Meanwhile, respondents also chose Republican Governor Greg Abbott as their favorite for re-election. Abbott is leading Democrat Lupe Valdez, 54 percent to 40 percent. This poll did not measure support for Libertarian Mark Tippetts.
Voters will decide these races in November.
