Amarillo Police are now investigating a wreck involving a motorcycle.
According to APD, an officer drove up on a motor vehicle crash at West Amarillo Boulevard and North Tyler Street on Sunday. A 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by a 33-year-old male, was westbound on Amarillo Boulevard and a Chevrolet pickup driven by a 73-year-old male was eastbound on Amarillo Boulevard, turning northbound on to Tyler. The truck then struck the Harley.
The motorcycle driver was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He was not wearing a helmet. The driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured.
This incident is under investigation by the APD Traffic Investigation Squad.
